SAHA Football Club was formed in the 1970's by the Shropshire Area Health Authority, hence the name 'SAHA'. No longer part of the Health Authority, the Club is now based in the Shelton, Gains Park and Bicton areas of Shrewsbury and is managed by a group of volunteers from the local community.
In 2006 SAHA FC became an FA Charter Standard Community Club in recognition for achieving FA Level 1 coaching standards and for its commitment to the welfare and safe guarding of all the children involved with the Club.
