The current SAHA Under 13 teams were formed in 2005 when we had 12 players “signed up” having attended the crèche facility the year before. By the end of the first season our reputation had spread through the local area, and had grown to 25 players attending our training sessions. Consequently 2006 saw us enter two teams into the league, the Sharks & Jets (the West Side of Shrewsbury!).
These two teams are still running and growing, and in total consist of over 30 young players.
The Jets policy is to open football up to all youngsters in the area, and our objectives are simply for the children to:
· Take an active part in the game · Learn to play and interact as a team · Understand the laws · Develop football skills · Be able to take part whatever their ability · Develop fitness · Enjoy themselves…..
If a new football forum was launched for grassroots people to discuss/influence the future of football development in the UK, would you use it?
